Internet Scams come in all shapes and forms.  Some Internet scams even use known names like Google, even though the scams are not related to Google but can appear more legitimate using familiar names.  Scams even design fake websites to look like paypal or your own bank to get information.  Be very aware of Internet scams and tactics scams use.

Paypal Scams



You receive and email that appears to look just like it came from Paypal.  They use the paypal logo and everything looks like official paypal letterhead and even websites that look like paypal in these scams.  These are phishing emails to try and get your personal information and gain access to your credit card, debit card and bank account so they can steal your money.  Be careful not fill out any email forms asking for your personal information from fake paypal scams emails.  You can control your ebay account by signing into your ebay account at ebay.com. 



The email may want you to verify your account information, claim your account has been compromised or any reason the scam can think of to get your information.


Always check the address bar of websites you visit to make sure you are on the correct site because these scams make it look like the paypal website.

Also be careful the URL is not made to look like paypal (be careful of them using paypal somewhere in the URL to make you think you are at the official ebay site when you are not.
